Anointing: rubbing somebody with oil.
LSJ ancient Greek dictionary: to be rubbed on, used as ointment or salve. The word for anointed is translated as “Christ.” It is not the surname of Jesus (at His time, Jesus was a common name). Note: Jesus was not a Nazirite, so the stereotype that He had long hair is wrong.
So, the term “Jesus Christ” means “Jesus is the anointed King of Israel.”
There is no such a thing called “special anointing.” Either all of us have the anointing, or none of us do.
In the Scriptures, only Jesus was anointed. When we say “we are not anointed,” it refers to our old self. The anointed one is Jesus, not us.
Now that it is no longer we live, but Christ lives in us. So, our identity is in Christ, and Jesus living in us means we are all anointed.
This also means Curry Blake does not have any special anointing. The anointing is Jesus in us. Curry is not more anointed than we are.

Q1: When we hear a JGLM pastor say they are healed and confident that they will receive sight and it is still awaiting to manifest, how do we keep from doubting the waiting period when we watch someone else going through the process?
A: Matthew 21:22—If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for. Keep your eyes on the truth regardless of how the problems look. We don’t lay hands on the sick because we see the results; we do so because the Word of God commands us to do it. Don’t walk by sight, but walk by faith. Keep standing. The word of God does not change. With that said, we should not just watch the person going through the process; instead, we need to encourage him “this is what the Word of God says.”
Q2: Do you get anointed at salvation or when you get baptized in the Holy Ghost?
A: When you get Jesus. When you believed, you got Jesus. 1 Samuel 10 & 11 lay out the process Christians will go through. We get anointed when we believe.
Being anointed is a positional thing!
